Tom Cassedy is a native of Tallahassee and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Economics and Business. He began his career in New York City with Oxford Industries, where he worked in financial and budgeting analysis before advancing into sales as an account executive. He later earned his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Florida State University.

Tom relocated to Tampa and entered the investment industry with Kidder Peabody in 1982. In 1988, he joined PaineWebber, where he specialized in equity and fixed income markets, serving both institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals. During this time, he also provided consulting services to companies in the employee benefit plan space.

After more than a decade in the investment industry, Tom founded Cassedy Financial Group, an independent wealth management firm focused on delivering personalized investment guidance and long-term financial strategies. With more than 45 years of industry experience, Tom specializes in equities, fixed income strategies, money management, and retirement plan services for individuals and businesses.

Beyond his professional work, Tom remains deeply involved in the Tampa community. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Rotary Club of Tampa and St. John's Episcopal School. He currently serves on the Investment Committee and Endowment Board for St. John's Episcopal Church and has also previously served on its Board of Directors. Tom and his family are proud longtime members of the Tampa community, and he enjoys spending time with his three adult children and three grandchildren.
